The best AEO agencies in 2026 have one thing in common: they can show you a measurement, not a slide. Answer engine optimization is young enough that half the market is a renamed SEO deck, so this list applies a harder test than usual. Every agency below names AEO, GEO or AI-search work as a real service on its own live site, verified on August 19, 2026. The list is COSEOM®’s. We rank ourselves first, and the criteria are printed below and applied to us unchanged. Nobody paid. No affiliate links.

The AI answer layer became the front door
Look at where the buyers went. OpenAI announced 900 million weekly ChatGPT users in February 2026, with 50 million paying subscribers. A year earlier the figure was 400 million; in October 2025 it was 800 million. That is not a channel emerging. That is a channel that emerged. Your category question gets asked in there today, and some agency’s client is the answer.
Data table
| Milestone | Weekly active users, millions |
|---|---|
| Early 2025 | 400 |
| Oct 2025 | 800 |
| Feb 2026 | 900 |
What an AEO agency does, and what it is not
Answer engine optimization is the work of making your company the answer AI systems give: earning citations in ChatGPT and AI Overviews, being the entity LLMs retrieve when your buyer asks a category question, and measuring where you show up per engine. The same discipline trades under three names (AEO, GEO, AI search optimization), and we treat them as one practice; our SEO vs AEO vs GEO explainer untangles the vocabulary.
Google’s own numbers explain the urgency. Sundar Pichai’s Q2 2026 earnings remarks put AI Mode past 1 billion monthly active users since its global expansion, the Gemini app at 950 million, and Google now “sending billions of clicks to websites every week through AI features in Search.” The answer layer is not a traffic killer or a traffic donor by default; it is an allocation fight, and AEO is how you fight it.
Data table
| Platform | Users, millions |
|---|---|
| Google AI Mode (monthly) | 1,000 |
| Gemini app (monthly) | 950 |
| ChatGPT (weekly) | 900 |
One boundary matters before the list. Peec, Profound and Athena are AI-visibility tracking tools, not agencies. A tool measures where you appear. An agency changes where you appear, and the good ones use tools like these to prove it. Vendors selling you “AEO” should be able to say instantly which side of that line they live on.
How this list was built
Three tests, applied on August 19, 2026. First, the agency’s own live site names AEO, GEO or AI-search optimization as a service, with substance behind the label; a footer keyword did not count. One well-known candidate dropped out because its site blocks verification entirely, which is its right, and ours. Second, every recorded fact (HQ, founding year, pricing, ratings) traces to a page we loaded that day, with “not stated” written where the agency publishes nothing. Third, we favored firms that talk about measurement, because in a category this young, measurement is the difference between a practice and a pitch.

1. COSEOM®
COSEOM® runs AEO as a measured practice, not a positioning line: live per-engine tracking of where client programs appear in AI answers, wired into the same retainer as SEO and paid media. We are B2B-only, founded in 2008, working from Barcelona, San Francisco and Bangkok, Google Partner, $15M+ USD in managed budget. Our own proof is the site you are reading: ten live languages, each maintained as its own answer-engine surface, which is the multilingual problem almost nobody else on this list touches. Method and scope live on our AI marketing services page.
HQ: Barcelona, Spain. Founded: 2008. Pricing: retainer, scoped per market. Best for: B2B companies that need AI-answer visibility measured across several languages and engines
2. iPullRank
iPullRank calls itself a pioneering enterprise and mid-market AI search agency, and its slogan sets the register: “Don’t optimize for an algorithm. Engineer For an empire.” Its GEO programs cover how you plan, what you publish, how your pages are built and how the results get measured, next to a discipline it names relevance engineering. No firm on this list frames the work more technically.
HQ: not stated. Founded: not stated. Pricing: not published. Best for: enterprises that want GEO treated as an engineering discipline
3. Siege Media
Siege Media rebuilt its whole storefront around the category: “Full-Service GEO Agency for Brands. We make brands the answer in search.” Underneath sits the content and digital PR machine it was already known for, which is exactly the muscle citations reward. Its Clutch profile showed 4.9 stars across 47 reviews when we checked in August 2026.
HQ: Austin, Texas. Founded: 2012. Pricing: Clutch min project $5,000+. Best for: brands buying content-led GEO with digital PR behind it
4. First Page Sage
First Page Sage now sells itself plainly as an “SEO + GEO agency,” pointing its thought-leadership methodology at AI answers: executive expertise turned into the content that engines cite. Its own industry survey prices full-service work at $12,000+ per month, and Clutch lists its minimum project at $10,000+.
HQ: Berkeley, California. Founded: 2009. Pricing: Clutch min project $10,000+. Best for: enterprises whose experts should be the cited source
5. Graphite
Graphite, now on graphite.io, leads with research: “the 5% of strategies that drive impact in AEO, SEO & performance marketing,” with AEO as a named service on its own page and clients like Webflow, n8n and Hinge Health on the masthead. Expect experiments and measurement, not templates.
HQ: not stated. Founded: not stated. Pricing: not published. Best for: growth teams that want AEO run as a testing program
6. Omniscient Digital
Omniscient Digital folds GEO into organic growth engines for B2B software companies only, with full-service engagements starting at a published $10,000 a month. The narrow focus is the feature: every playbook it owns was built on software buyers.
HQ: Austin, Texas. Founded: 2019. Pricing: from $10,000/mo. Best for: B2B software companies adding GEO to a content growth engine
7. Victorious
Victorious positions as an SEO company for “Search And AI Visibility” and stays unusually straight about money: its homepage tells buyers to budget at least $6,000 a month for twelve months. Its Clutch profile carried 4.8 stars across 119 reviews and a $50,000+ minimum project size in August 2026.
HQ: San Francisco, California. Founded: 2013. Pricing: from $6,000/mo per its own guidance. Best for: enterprise programs pairing technical SEO with AI visibility
8. Flying Cat Marketing
Flying Cat Marketing sells one sentence: “Get found on Google and recommended by AI,” for B2B SaaS only. Its GEO methodology tracks brand mentions across LLMs, monitors citation sources and optimizes for both ranking and AI recommendation, with Hotjar and ActiveCampaign among the logos. It also happens to be our Barcelona neighbor, which we note so you know we noticed.
HQ: Barcelona, Spain. Founded: not stated. Pricing: not published. Best for: B2B SaaS teams that want LLM recommendation treated as a KPI
9. SimpleTiger
SimpleTiger has repositioned two decades of SaaS SEO around being an “AI Search Leader,” pairing AEO with SEO, PPC and content for funded startups through mid-market. Clutch: 4.9 stars, 32 reviews, $5,000+ minimum, checked August 2026.
HQ: Sarasota, Florida. Founded: 2006. Pricing: Clutch min project $5,000+. Best for: SaaS companies that want AEO and SEO from one long-tenured team
10. Ten Speed
Ten Speed treats Google and LLM visibility as one channel and builds original research to feed both, a young firm (2020) that planted its flag early on exactly this ground. It claims $50M+ in organic-sourced ARR for clients on its own site.
HQ: Chicago, Illinois. Founded: 2020. Pricing: Clutch min project $5,000+. Best for: PLG teams buying Google and LLM visibility as one program
11. Single Grain
Single Grain names AEO inside an AI-native, full-stack offer that also spans SEO and paid media. Choose it when you want the answer-engine work and the ad budget handled by one vendor rather than two.
HQ: Miami, Florida. Founded: not stated. Pricing: not published. Best for: teams bundling AEO with paid channels
What AEO engagements cost in 2026
Almost nobody prices “AEO” as a separate line item yet; it ships inside organic-growth retainers, and the published floors tell you the band. Victorious asks buyers to budget at least $6,000 a month. Omniscient starts full-service engagements at $10,000. First Page Sage’s survey puts full-service firms at $12,000+ per month. Under those numbers you are typically buying an audit or a content package, not a measured program. Ask any bidder to split the invoice conceptually: what pays for making you citable, and what pays for proving you got cited.
Data table
| Measure | Value |
|---|---|
| Victorious’ own budgeting floor | $6,000/mo |
| Omniscient Digital’s published start | $10,000/mo |
| full-service tier in First Page Sage’s survey | $12,000+/mo |
AEO or SEO: mostly the wrong question
The engines answering your buyers are trained and grounded on the same web your SEO fights over. Structured pages, real expertise, clean entities and earned mentions feed both, which is why most credible firms here sell the disciplines together and why we do too. What changed is the readout: rankings stop being the whole scoreboard once LLM traffic behaves differently from organic search. Budget one program. Measure two surfaces.
Four signals that separate a practice from a pitch
First, per-engine measurement: ask to see an AI-visibility report from a live account, with the tool named. Second, a citation strategy that goes beyond “publish more”: which sources do the engines in your category actually cite, and how does the agency plan to appear in them? Third, entity work: does the firm talk about how models understand who you are, or only about keywords? Fourth, honest scope: ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity behave differently, and a vendor who promises all four with one trick has tested none. Our generative engine optimization guide covers what the work actually involves.
What to measure before and after hiring
Take a baseline before the first invoice: your share of AI answers for the ten questions that matter in your category, per engine, captured with dates. Then re-measure monthly. Referral traffic from AI surfaces is worth logging but it undercounts; many answers end without a click, and the influence shows up later as branded search and direct demand. This is the same measurement stack we describe in our AI SEO overview, and it is the difference between renewing on evidence and renewing on vibes. For the classic-search side of the same decision, our list of the best B2B SEO agencies applies the identical verification standard.
FAQ: hiring an AEO agency
What is an AEO agency?
An agency that makes your company the answer AI systems give: earning citations and mentions in ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity, structuring your content and entities so models retrieve you, and measuring your share of AI answers per engine.
Is AEO different from GEO?
In practice, no. AEO (answer engine optimization) and GEO (generative engine optimization) describe the same work, and agencies split roughly evenly on which label they use. This list treats them as one category and records each firm’s own term.
How much does AEO cost per month?
It ships inside organic-growth retainers. Published floors among these firms run from $6,000 a month (Victorious’ own guidance) through $10,000 (Omniscient’s published start) to the $12,000+ full-service tier First Page Sage’s survey reports. Standalone “AEO audits” price lower but do not move answers by themselves.
Can an agency guarantee ChatGPT will cite us?
No, and a guarantee is a warning sign. Engines change retrieval behavior without notice. What a serious firm commits to is the input work (citable assets, entity clarity, earned coverage) and honest per-engine measurement of the result.
Do we need an AEO tool or an AEO agency?
Different purchases. Tools like Peec, Profound or Athena track where you appear in AI answers. An agency changes where you appear and should bring or integrate a tracker as part of the program. Buying only the tool gives you a scoreboard with nobody playing.
How fast does AEO show results?
In our experience, the first measurable citation movement takes one to two quarters; the assets that earn AI citations (research, expert content, coverage) take time to build and be recrawled. Anyone promising visible AI-answer dominance in weeks is selling the audit, not the outcome.
Does traditional SEO still matter if buyers use ChatGPT?
Yes, and more than the hype suggests: answer engines are grounded in the same indexed web, and Google reports its AI features send billions of clicks to websites weekly. Strong SEO is the substrate AEO builds on, which is why most firms here sell both.
How do we measure AI search visibility?
Define the question set that matters commercially, then track per engine: how often you are cited, in what position, against which competitors, and from which source pages. Capture dates on everything. Re-run monthly. That baseline is also how you will know whether your agency earned its fee.
Why does COSEOM® put itself first here?
Because we built the list, and disclosure beats pretense. The criteria above were applied to us unchanged, and the other ten firms are genuine alternatives, several of them the better pick for a US-only, English-only program.
